My son has been a client for almost five years. I expect noticeable results from his therapy, and I have seen positive changes in his speech, feeding and OT here. Jessica is a miracle worker with feeding! If you have a really difficult eater, she can sort it out. Amazing. I'm also really impressed with Mia. She is very innovative with her lesson plans and has some very clever ideas for motivating my son. Always track your child's development and talk to your therapist if you have concerns. I have found the therapists here to be receptive to my suggestions and they adapt and respond appropriately to my feedback. The responsibility for your child's development is a TEAM effort. In my opinion, CHS&OT provides a good support network with the skills to help develop my son.

Mary has been such an important part of our family’s journey. My son was a client of hers for 8 years, and with her care, support and evidence-informed strategies, he overcame a severe case of Dyspraxia. So when my daughter needed an OT and speech assessment, there was no question, we came straight back to Mary. Once again, our experience with Castle Hill Speech and OT has been incredibly positive. The assessments were thorough, and the reports were both professional and easy to understand. My daughter now attends fortnightly OT and social skills sessions with Kyah, and the positive impact has been wonderful to see. The care and connection both Mary and Kyah have built with my children says everything. My son, now 18, wanted to come along to one of his sister’s appointments just to see Mary again and my daughter is hoping to continue seeing Kyah via Telehealth when we move to Adelaide. I am incredibly grateful for the support, kindness, and expertise of Mary, Kyah, and the team. They have made a lasting difference in both of our children’s lives, and I would wholeheartedly recommend them to any family seeking thoughtful, professional, and genuinely caring support.

We had a wonderful experience with Castle Hill Speech & OT over the past three years. The therapists Brittany and Gursheen has done an amazing job supporting my child, and we have seen great progress thanks to their dedication, patience, and professionalism. They always made us feel comfortable and well supported, and their care truly made a difference. We are only leaving because we are moving to another city. We are very grateful for everything they have done and would highly recommend Castle Hill Speech & OT to any family looking for excellent speech and OT services.

I’m a parent of multiple children who utilise various therapies in this practice. From Dean the office Manager to Gursheen a fabulous AHA who both make all my kids feel comfortable and at home when visiting the clinic. Kyah has worked magic in helping a teen be able to feel comfortable in their own skin and organise her mind enough to prevent chaos in her surroundings. She has aided a sensory overload toddler with serious aversions to texture and medical interventions from medical trauma to him loving visiting our GP. She is patient and adaptive, kind and consistent. An undeniable champion. Angelina has given a voice to a child who couldn’t find themselves and gave such amazing support and guidance she has worked miracles. Compassionate and caring, direct and supportive, the consummate professional. A miracle worker. Brittany and Ivena have created a group environment for social skills that have shown such a huge improvement in my school readiness kid that is remarkable, their support and therapies have provided a safe space for kid to make mistakes and learn in a really supportive and beautiful way. I can not praise this service enough for all the care and support they have provided my children as well as the continued support and research, evidence based practices they’ve assisted me in to continue to help my kids thrive. Thanks to the whole team.

I first came across Castle Hill Speech & OT when I heard about a school information night they were holding. The team at CHSOT were kind enough to let me attend, even though we were not attending therapy at the clinic. When I attended the session run by Mary, it was so clear to see the care and passion that she has for all of her clients and what she does. It's not simply about attending therapy, she does everything that she can to assist the children, which on this night involved informing parents on the different schooling options available. She was more than happy to answer my questions and gave me the time, even though I was not even a paying client. Not long after, I booked in an assessment for my son. We have have now been attending weekly speech therapy with Mary and a weekly EDSM group for the last few months. We have already seen amazing improvements. Mary runs the sessions in a way that is perfect for his needs and learning style and has given us the tools to continue to support his learning at home in between sessions. She has planted a seed that has continued to flourish and I am looking forward to seeing all we can achieve in the coming months.

My 6yrs old child started therapy 6 months back and I already noticed difference. Currently he is going through session with Mary (Speech) and Ivena (OT). What I found all the sessions are methodical, well-designed and practical. Moreover, special kudos to all the staffs - they are very supportive. I highly recommend this Castle Hill Speech and OT.

How does the assessment and therapy process work?

Your journey typically begins with a phone call or email to our friendly and professional administrative team. They will:

– Discuss your concerns and gather relevant background information

– Determine whether an assessment is required

– Identify the most suitable therapy stream — Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Behaviour Therapy

If an assessment is not required, our team will request any existing reports and schedule your child directly for therapy with the appropriate clinician.

When an assessment is recommended, we allocate 1.5–2 hours to complete a thorough and child-centred evaluation. Depending on your child’s needs, this may include standardised testing, informal assessment, structured observation, and parent discussion.

Our aim is to understand your child’s strengths, challenges, and functional needs across communication, sensory regulation, behaviour, daily living, learning, and social participation.

Following the assessment, families will receive a detailed written report within four weeks. This report includes:

– Assessment results

– Interpretation of findings

– A holistic profile of your child

– Clear and practical recommendations

– Guidance regarding therapy needs (if any)

At the conclusion of the assessment, your therapist will discuss:

– Key findings

– Recommended support pathways

– Whether individual therapy, group therapy, parent training, or a combination is appropriate

If therapy is recommended, our administrative team will assist you in securing ongoing appointments that suit your schedule.

The first therapy session is a goal‑setting session conducted collaboratively with parents or caregivers. Together we will:

– Identify meaningful, functional, and achievable goals

– Discuss priorities for home, school, and community environments

– Develop a clear plan for therapy

– Outline how progress will be monitored and communicated

This ensures that therapy is personalised, purposeful, and connected to your child’s daily life.

Your therapist will use evidence-based, play-based, and child-centred approaches tailored specifically to your child. Therapy may occur in-clinic, at school or preschool (if appropriate), via telehealth, or within group-based programs.

We continually collaborate with families, educators, and other professionals to ensure consistent and effective support.
